Learn how to become a Registered Family Day Care or Licensed Group Family Day Care Provider

Child and Adult Care Food Program
Assists with the cost of nutritious meals provided in Child Care Programs.

Child Resource and Referral
Assists parents with locating child care, provides technical assistance for child care providers and those individuals choosing to become registered or licensed child care providers in their homes. Services include:

Technical Assistance
Referrals for parents seeking child care
Oreintation sessions for individuals seeking child care registration
Start-up and maintenance grants for child care providers
Development and training

Family and School-Age Child Care Registration
Provides assists child care providers in completing all requirements for becoming registered with the NYS Office for Children and Family Services and complying with New York State Child Care regulations. Parents of children enrolled in child care centers are also provided with information regarding the state child care regulations.

Respite & Waiver Programs
Provides short-term care to children with emotional or developmental disabilities between the ages of 5-17. A referral to access this program is required. Services include:

Skill Building
24-Hour Care – 7 Days Per Week
Direct Supervision of Children

Supervised Visitation Program
Offers court-ordered supervised vistation in a safe environment that is child-focused with referrals for parenting education and support. Services include:

Safety planning for custodial parents and their children
Therapeutic counseling support for children
Child-friendly environment
Supervision of child visits with non-custodial parent

Child Passenger Safety Program

Provides education to parents and care givers on the proper use of car seats
Conducts community car seat checks throughout Allegany County 5 times per year
Operates a permanent fitting station on the third Tuesday of every month at 15 Martin St. Wellsville NY, 14895.
